学院介绍：北京华文学院（原北京华侨学生补习学校、北京中国语言文化学校）始建于1950年，是直属国务院侨务办公室的华文教育专业院校。办学宗旨是：为海外华侨、华人和各国学生学习中国语言文化提供条件，为促进中外文化交流和友好往来服务。北京华文学院面向世界各国招生，常年开设2年学制的汉语言专业大专学历课程、1-3年学制的汉语长期班课程、汉语夏令营短期课程和华文教师研修课程。建校至今，共有80多个国家和地区的近5万余名青少年学生和华文教师来校学习和研修，是具有良好声誉的华文教育基地院校。2009年，北京华文学院成为HSK考点。

◆ 招生对象及报名、开学时间
品行端正、身体健康，具有高中毕业以上（含高中毕业）学历的海外华侨、华人和外籍学生。招生分春、秋两季，春季班每年2月底3月初开学，秋季班每年9月初开学。全年均可报名，确切开学日期以录取通知书为准。
◆ 培养目标及毕业、直升条件
全面培养具有汉语听、说、读、写、译技能、了解中国文化和当代国情、适应现代国际社会需求的汉语专门人才。学制两年，汉语水平考试（HSK）可达6级（中等C级）以上。经考试成绩合格者，可获中国政府承认的学历证书——华侨大学汉语言专业大专学历证书。可直升华侨大学本科专业继续学习。

◆ 招生对象及报名、开学时间

◆ 学制设置
汉语长期班分设初级班（上、下）、中级班（上、下）、高级班（上、下），各班级学制均为一年。
◆ 入学申请
1.报名：填写入学申请表（可从www.bjhwxy.com网上下载），可网上报名，也可传真或邮寄至我院。被录取者将收到我院的录取通知书，持录取通知书（无需JW202表）到中国驻当地大使馆领事部或领事馆申请X学习签证。
2.注册：到校注册需备以下材料a. 录取通知书 b. 本人护照（X学习签证） c. 学历证明 d. 证件照片7张（2寸、正面、半身、免冠、蓝底）。
3.体检：新生自入境之日起10天内，由学院统一安排身体检查（费用自理，约460元RMB），体检不合格者取消入学资格。国外的体检证明，需经中国卫生检疫部门验证后方可生效。

Long-Term Chinese Language Classes
Admissions, Time of Application
Overseas Chinese and foreigners of Chinese origin age 18 or over, who have either graduated from senior high school or have the same educational level, and who are in good health and have a good behavioral record may study in this College.
The College enrolls students at both spring and fall semesters, in February and September. Students may apply at anytime of the year.
School System
Long-term Chinese language classes includes: elementary classes (I, II); intermediate classes (I, II); advanced classes (I, II), each lasting one year.
Requirements and process for Application and Admission
1．Applicants have to complete the Application Form (attached or download a copy from www.bjhwxy.com) and return it to the Admissions office of the Beijing Chinese Language College by fax or airmail. Enrollees will receive an admissions notification, which should be taken to the Chinese consulate in the country from which the student is applying, to obtain an “X” student entry visa. Form JW202 is unnecessary.
2．Registration documents:
a. Admission Notice of the College.
b. Passport (Students must have obtained an “X” student entry visa at the Chinese consulate of his or her country).
c. Photos required: 7 copies of two-inch, front view, with no hat, and a blue background
3．Physical Exam
Upon admittance, new students must undergo a physical exam, at their own expense (around RMB460), by a designated medical authority. The admission of anyone found to be unsuitable for study at the College will be cancelled. Physical exam reports obtained from outside st1:country-region w:st="on">China may be accepted if verified by the Chinese medical and health department.

Grade: Elementary Class
Curriculum: Intensive Reading in Chinese, Extensive Reading in Chinese, Chinese Speaking and Listening Comprehension, Writing of Chinese Characters
Purposes of this Program: Students will master 2,410 common Chinese words and 185 basic Chinese grammar items. Students will carry on simple conversations, reading and writing in Chinese.
Grade: Intermediate Class
Curriculum: Modern Chinese, intermediate Chinese Speaking and Listening Comprehension, Extensive Reading, Commercial Chinese, Chinese Composition, Reading of Selected Newspaper and Maga-zine Articles.
Purposes of this Program: Students will master 2,850 Chinese words and 80 Chinese grammar items of intermediate level. Students have basic communication ability and may use Chinese in their routine study and life.
Grade: Advanced Class
Curriculum:Modern Chinese, Advanced Chinese Composition, Reading of Selected Newspaper and Magazine Articles, Advanced Cultural Knowledge. Advanced Commercial Chinese, Chinese Grammar
Purposes of this Program: Students will master about 2,800 Chinese words and about 100 Chinese grammar items of advanced level. Students will have higher communication ability and a better understanding of Chinese culture.
Specialized courses
Chinese Painting, Chinese calligraphy, Wu Shu (Chinese Martial Arts), Chinese Music and Dance, Chinese Language Computer Programs, HSK classes, etc.
To learn Chinese culture and understand the spirit of Chinese history.
(Long-term Chinese language classes have 14 Chinese professional courses and the school hours are above 800 hours each year. There are also several elective courses for Chinese culture. )
